For months now I have been searching for an American Cocker Spaniel with no avail.  Then I found Mario on the Internet.  His photograph immediately endeared me to him and I contacted the Animal Home in Bretnig between Dresden and Bautzen.  

• Sex             Male
• Age             3-4 Years
• Character:  Human orientated and affectionate, loves people. Mario doesn’t like being touched on his collar.  He shouldn’t be left on his own.  If he feels lonely he barks as he was left once before. Mario would be  a good second dog.
• Past:            Mario was found in a woods,
• Health.        Inoculated, approx 40cm, has been successfully operated on his eyes.

After preliminary discussions on 11^th April 03 it was agreed that Mario would be reserved for us and would come to us in two weeks time.  On 12^th April at 3.15pm the phone rang and it was Frau Falkenberg from the Animal Home saying the would like to bring Mario tomorrow Sunday 13^th April 03.  We agreed and then, having found out what he liked to eat, rushed out to buy the essentials for a small dog before the shops shut.

Sunday arrived and we anxiously awaited the arrival of our new addition to the family.  He finally arrived at 7pm that evening and apart from having his fur cut he was everything we expected. 

A beautiful Black, White and Tan American Cocker, a face like a St Bernard (according to our children) and very excitable.  These web pages will be Mario’s story.
