In the north of Bad Oeynhausen with a view of the nearby Wiehengebirge mountains we offer a comfortable vacation home for relaxation in our idyllic little Wöhren and/or visiting family in Bad Oexen or the pastoral area "Wittekindshof".

The apartment is located on the ground floor of a two-family house and is tastefully furnished  with direct access into the garden with garden furniture.

Built in 1975, renovated 2007, 65 square meters.

In the case you are staying over 14 days or longer, we offer a discount of 10 % and if you stay over 21 days or longer, we offer a discount of  20 % !!

Surroundings        (Description by "Live like a german")

In the immediate vicinity (500 m) is "Bad Oexen," a hospital for oncological rehabilitation and follow-up treatment. In the neighboring district of the Volmerdingsen the "charitable foundation Wittekindshof" have their headquarters. It exists already since 1887. Wittekindshof has four branch facilities and residential and therapeutic services in East Westphalia and in the Munster country.

Not far away - in the district Eidinghausen - stands the moated castle Ovelgönne. It is one of the oldest noble seats of eastern Westphalia. It's is a so-called farmstead owned by the monastery Abdinghof to Paderborn. The yard was mentioned in 1126 as "a small estate in Edinhusen". The city of Bad Oeynhausen began in 1980 to restore the castle and expand it into a community center. It is now leased and used for celebrations.

Various shops and restaurants in the center of "Eidinghausen" (2 km) or in "Bad Oeynhausen" - Spa - Casino - vaudeville - Theatre Imperial Palace Bad Oeynhausen - Werre park, the shopping center in the region, bus (bus stop! Public transport in the "Wöhrener Str" in 100 meters),  about 3.5 km to the bus station or train station Bad Oeynhausen.

Our apartment is an excellent starting point for hikes, bike tours and excursions in the surrounding area. On the ridge trail Wiehengebirge tourist cafes invite one to linger. A popular destination is the Porta Westfalica with the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial and the television tower.

Read also a report by Robert Kaufeld on the hike from the Kaiser-Wilhelm-monument to "Wittekindsburg". The "Lutternsche harrow" is a school hostel and cafe on the crest of the Wiehengebirge. The restaurant "Wild Smith" arose in the place where Frederick Mark [1802-1881] earned his living as an ironworker in a cabin in the woods.

There's the Weser bike path, mill route and land art-route, swimming in the pool ["Sielbad" at the Canal Street] - 3 km - and in the Bali Spa - about 6 km; amusement park "Potts Park," Minden historic Old Town and the waterway crossing [shaft lock], about 15 km; visitor mine Kleinenbremen, about 20 km; Royal Palace in Bückeburg, about 20 km; spa town of Bad Salzuflen (10km); Rinteln 15 km.

Directions to Bad Oeynhausen (Eidinghausen-Wöhren)

Coming from the motorway A 2 (exit Bad Oeynhausen) drive in the direction of Osnabrück (A30) to the city center. At the intersection of Minden Street / Stein and Eidinghausener Street, turn right into Eidinghausener Street and head towards the mountain churches (Wiehengebirge). 
After 3 km you reach the new bridge over the northern bypass. Go over the bridge and turn right into the Wöhrener Str. Take the Wöhrener road about 1 km and can be found on the right side of the junction "Im Meerbruch", after about 50 meters you are at your destination.

From the A30 from direction Osnabrück you drive to the town of Bad Oeynhausen center and turn left at the intersection of Minden Street / Stein Street and turn left into Eidinghausener Street and drive about 2 km in the direction of the mountain churches ( Wiehengebirge).
